Every day is a blessing we should never take for granted. This statement rings very true for Brenda Kapp of Clarion, Pennsylvania. After enjoying good health all her life, Brenda became extremely ill with a rare, deadly disease which left her with very little time to live. With a life expectancy of only 5 1/2 months, this disease, which impacts the heart, left Brenda in dire need of a heart transplant. Because of Lisa, a donor who gave Brenda her heart just before she passed, Brenda is now alive to tell her story.
In order to remember the fragility of life and to honor the woman who gave her a second chance, Brenda decided to have WiseDecor help her create a special memorial decal. Utilizing the basic design concept of the “Always My Sister” decal, WiseDecor was able to assist Brenda in making her “Sisters in Christ” lettering. The decal was created with a charcoal color while the silhouette of Lisa and Brenda’s names along with the saying at the bottom were done in a complementary medieval wine.
After her decal was hung, Lisa’s family visited Brenda and together these two families wept over the sadness of losing Lisa, but the joy of seeing her continue to live in the life another. Two families joined together by one woman’s heart — a true legacy Brenda will never forget.
