| Let’s face it, learning can be tough and so can life. We all need some encouragement from time to time, especially the little ones in classrooms that are just learning some of life’s basics, the three R’s.
Based on crowd-sourced ideas from teachers, we created this encouragement wall design for students to help them overcome challenges with learning and life in general. Laura Candler hosted a contest on her Teaching Resources Facebook Page back in July 2014. Dozens of teachers shared uplifting phrases that they’ve used to encourage their students over the years. Our marvelous designer, Jessie Wyatt, went to work and devised interesting ways of adding typography and artistic imagery to the phrases to make the messages even more interesting to read. “Upon being presented with these uplifting quotes, I knew I wanted to make a design to help them to stand out. I kept the text simple but used pops of color and a fun script font to make the wall decal engaging. This will help to grab the children’s attention and draw them in to reading these encouraging messages. My hope is that this design inspires children and helps them to have confidence in themselves and their abilities.”
