It really does takes a lot of courage to go against the grain but that is what Joshua was challenging the Hebrew people to do. It may not have been a popular decision but he did it any way. Their decision would affect their destiny but Joshua was not looking back but pressing forward and so uttered those words in Joshua 24:15 that we have come to love: as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
