Much more than bathing takes place in today’s bathrooms and it shows. No longer the little-noticed “water closet” of days gone by, bathrooms today take up a considerable amount of square footage. And when it comes to accessorizing this ever-more-popular room, no expense is spared. Jacuzzi tubs, Italian tiles and stainless steel fixtures are just a few of the accessories that adorn this room.
Oftentimes, the bathroom is designed around a theme, as seen in this Asian-inspired creation. The orchids, the soothing faux-finish on the walls and the hardwood accessories combine to pull off a look that’s truly distinctive. Yet the personalization doesn’t stop there.
The owner of this bathroom chose our rub-on lettering to send a message to all who enter and exit this room. The Chinese characters “Wealth, Prosperity, Virtue” was created using a color similar to the orchids and Asian-symbols, both of which help pull the room together. In this case, the owner decided to cut apart the roll of pre-cut and pre-pasted lettering press-ons so they could be staggered down the wall to better fit this space.
Had this arrangement not produced the desired effect, it would have been simple to peel the letters off the smooth surface and place them elsewhere. If this phrase had been hand-painted on the wall, the owner would not have had this flexibility. Another benefit is that when you tire of these words on the wall, you can easily and inexpensively replace them with others!
