Nantucket Beach House Kitchen

I’ve been using WiseDécor’s decorative wall lettering and art for my clients’ homes and I like the way it adds to the overall touch of the rooms I decorate. I have a beach home in Nantucket, Massachusetts, and I tried it in my own kitchen too. I found a quote on WiseDécor’s website that verbalizes what I feel every time I look out from my kitchen window. It says “Sunny days, warm breezes and the sea…” I chose the Allegheny lettering style in Charcoal, and the height of the quote is 5 inches. I love the way it looks! It’s a fun and simple way to add character to the kitchen without breaking the bank!

Nursery Moon Theme

The concept for my son's nursery was based on a German story book that I fell in love with. Once I had decided on a color scheme and found the bedding, I called on an artist friend of mine to help convey the celestial calmness of the fable. He produced the mural over the crib which gave a beautiful backdrop to the room. The quote, which I ordered on WiseDécor, was one that I found and then customized to my son. It put the finishing touches on the room and gave my baby a personalized connotation as he drifts into his dreams each night.

Sail Away

This is a house I decorated for one of my clients, who loves the sea. I created a nautical theme throughout the entire home, using a simple color palette of navy and white, with the occasional touches of khaki and brown. For the dining room I chose a striped navy and white print for the chair upholstery, and a huge round navy and white woven rug to provide a color accent. On the wall, I placed two prints of sailing ships in chocolate brown picture frames. On top of the two frames I put WiseDécor’s decorative lettering with the quote “SAIL AWAY” Black University font about 7 inches high. Then, as a decorative accent, I used one of WiseDécor’s lettering arts in Metallic Gold: Embellishment Pair A and Embellishment Pair B.

Reflecting upon the waters...

As with everything in this house, even the stairway landing reflects things nautical. I thought this would be the perfect venue for my client’s favorite quote. This quote is the first thing one sees upon coming down the stairs, and it’s a great way to start the day. The quote “Reflecting upon the waters of the deep blue sea. Our dreams become boundless, and our souls set free…” was done in a navy blue Vivaldi font, about 3 inches in height. The stark bareness of the wall is actually a perfect background for the quote and the font I chose, Vivaldi, gives it an elegance that allows it to stand on its own on the wall without needing any further embellishment.
